Quotation & Technical Support Manager – Manchester - £50,000

A brilliant opportunity has just presented itself for an exceptional individual to join a renowned BMS Controls Company as their Quotation & Technical Support Manager.

 

The National Accounts Quotation & Technical Support Manager position

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and reading all Field Engineer reports for Reactive and PPM works for the National Accounts customer base. Identify any opportunities for additional works, preparation of a quotation for the customer on the specific customer quotation document and uploading quote to the customer CAFM system.

In this role you will also act as the Service Coordinators technical support point of contact, given the volume of customer inquiries and fault reports this person needs to be able to understand customer issues and provide the service coordinator with the best advice on how to proceed with calls and inquiries of a technical nature in terms of BEMS.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Enforcing the H&S interests of company on a day-to-day basis for all employees and Sub-Contractors.

·         Assisting in building and maintaining strong client relations through sound technical knowledge and advice in a customer facing environment

·         When required carry out Site Surveys to produce fully detailed survey reports and provide the customer with fully costed recommendations for life-cycle improvements or energy saving measures

·         Understanding the various aspects of the specific customer quotation templates to ensure quotations are not rejected on the grounds of missing or erroneous information provided on the document

·         Coordinating with engineers to understand ambiguity of field reports to ensure all opportunities are properly captured for the National Account client base

·         Working with the account managers to ensure quotations and opportunities not taken up are properly communicated to the respective customer account representatives.

·         Working with Account Managers at contract renewal times to discuss any opportunities for improving our contract offerings and identifying patterns of failures noted from reading field reports

·         Providing support to service coordinator team on technical aspects of customer inquiries or call out requests where more detail may be required

 

Key output of this role

·         Understand and meet the individual customer SLA requirements for the timely preparation and Customer Portal submission of estimates & quotations for all accounts.

·         Increase the Volume, Revenue and GM generated from all field service activities by detailed analysis and questioning of our engineering teams job reports

·         Assist with preparation of ISO 90001 processes and procedure documentation for this role, and successful external audit compliance

·         All mandatory training requirements are up to date and complete

·         Complete 1 vehicle check per week in checked safe app

·         Complete a dynamic risk assessment prior to commencement of any site works and site surveys

·         Assist Service Coordinator teams by providing technical advice for call priorities to ensure calls are prioritised properly and team can push back on incorrectly categorised customer SLA jobs

Impressive salary of £50,000 depending on experience

Person profile

To be successful in this position, you will have a strong commercial background, understanding of financial systems, effective organisational and communication skills. You will have an awareness and understanding of the BEMS industry.
