We are offering an accomplished BMS Commissioning Engineer the opportunity to join an exciting large pharmaceutical project in Cambridge. This contact is being offered on an Umbrella paye basis and will be paid on a rate of £41.88 per hour, based on a 9 hour day this will be £377 per day. There are excellent overtime rates as well. The hours are 9 hours a day. Payment will be weekly. We are able to offer an initial 6 month contract which is likely to be extended
The role of the BMS Commissioning Engineer: -
As a BMS Commissioning engineer you will be required to work under your own initiative and judgement when completing all tasks and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and client on the progress of the work carried out. Duties will include full commissioning of BMS, including writing or modifying software. You also will be providing support to the project handover, carrying out client training, assessing client site conditions, control system design, implementation, and documentation.
This role requires proficient commissioning engineers, to support the commissioning of a large interesting and complex research building in Cambridge
1. Possess a comprehensive understanding of high end BMS / HVAC applications
2. Ideally have Honeywell Excel WEB or CPO experience
3. Commissioning of controls routine
4. Able to read control panel wiring schematics and fault find extra low voltage circuits
5. Able to read software logic, for example Honeywell Care, Honeywell CPO Studio, Trend, Niagara
6. Proficient in understanding software strategy and de-bugging
7. Attention to detail filling in commissioning paperwork
8. Update of weekly status report or progress and blockers/outstanding works
9. Confident to demonstrate to third parties as commissioned systems
10. Provide support for project handover and customer training
11. Project closeout
12. Fully support all Health and Safety systems on site
13. Be a team player
Additional useful skills are a BMS/PLC / Mechanical design back ground, and the ability to write software and graphics
You must have good communications skills, high level if integrity and be willing to travel Cambridge if not based in Cambridge.
Successful candidates will also need to take part in the client's security vetting checks prior to starting on site.
Key skills required of the BMS Commissioning Engineer: -
Strong previous experience in Commissioning BMS Systems.
Fantastic communication, both written and verbally.
ECS, JIB Skill Card or equivalent.
