Our client a Building Intelligence contractor based in West Sussex who work with blue chip organisation's in the UK are seeking a Sales engineer to join their team.
This individual would be managing a selection of customers, providing them with quotations and sales support but also working through the final delivery of small works projects in conjunction with our engineering team.
The customers would be purchasing our full range of interfacing, energy, lighting and software products.
The role will be predominantly southern based but with potential national travel as required.
Role requirements:-
· A proven engineering background in a related industry.
· Self-motivated and organised, able to execute the sales process, from appointments, providing demonstrations offering technical advice, through to obtaining the order and management of delivery.
· A knowledge of the energy market with experience in all types of utility metering. I.e. electrical, heat, gas, water.
· An understanding of communication protocols used in metering, (Modbus, M-bus, BACNET), would be beneficial.
· Basic understanding of IoT communication technology, but training given as required (MQTT, REST etc...).
· Electrical background preferred with ability to conduct surveys and interpret installation drawings and wiring schematics.
· Willingness to travel (usually within the UK) with some overnight stays should be expected as part of the role.
